ESCORT Inc., designer and manufacturer of the world’s best premium automotive accessories, today confirmed that its all-new ESCORT Live™ technology, the world’s first ticket protection social network for drivers, has won an International Innovation Design and Engineering award at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show’s (CES), the world’s largest consumer technology show.
“The entire ESCORT team is honored to receive the CES award for ESCORT Live’s outstanding design and engineering,” said ESCORT President and CEO John Larson. “This award demonstrates that ESCORT Live™ is a revolutionary new product that will unite drivers in a social network for the road.”
The CES honor is the latest in a series of awards ESCORT has received for ESCORT Live™, including:
ESCORT Live™ uses Bluetooth technology embedded in SmartCord Live™ cords and a unique app for the driver’s smartphone. When alerts are detected, they are transmitted to the ESCORT Live™ “cloud” and then broadcast across the ESCORT Live™ network, notifying other drivers of potential ticket threats.
“ESCORT Live™ is a nation of protected drivers helping other drivers in the ultimate live alert network,” Larson said. “Our radar detector products have always provided drivers with the highest level of ticket protection in the marketplace. Now, with ESCORT Live™, ESCORT drivers don’t need to be in the range of the threat, they just need to be in the network.”
